Job Description:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced contentious probate lawyer at a highly regarded Midlands firm.
Our client has an exceptional reputation for private client work and is keen to invest in its private client litigation offering by appointing a Head of Contentious Probate.
The role involves advising on a broad range of inheritance disputes, including:
* Applications contesting the validity of wills
* Applications to remove Executors
* Claims for financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act
* Rectification of Wills and breach of trust claims
* Contentious Court of Protection applications
You will also help raise the department's profile and supervise a small team of juniors. The firm aims to build a market-leading team.
Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years PQE (applications from lawyers with more or less experience are welcome). You will act for private individuals, landowners, rural clients, entrepreneurs, and wealthy individuals. The role suits senior lawyers seeking partnership or partners wanting autonomy to shape their team.
