* Role: Autism Senior Clinician - Adult Team
* Location: Remote / Hybrid
* Salary: £70,000 per annum
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week plus 30-minute paid lunch

*About the role*

Clinicians working with Autism360 will be part of a dedicated team, committed to clinical excellence and are expected to deliver assessments and support with passion, ownership and commitment. The senior clinician will supervise and manage a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the team provides a high quality and caring service, whilst adhering to national guidelines and professional standards. You will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, differential diagnosis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

*Key Responsibilities *

_*Team Leadership and Management*_*:*

* Lead and support a group of clinicians to deliver high quality assessments.
* Provide training, guidance, and supervision to team members to support professional development and adherence to best practices.
* Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and audit team reports for quality and accuracy.
* Lead clinical discussions and contribute to leadership of team meetings.
* Risk & Safeguarding: Oversee risk management and clinical governance, ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines and best practices.
* Collaborate with managers to improve service delivery, implement evidence-based practices.
* Act as the primary point of escalation for clinical issues.
* Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.
* Assist in the development of policies and procedures of the clinical team.

_*Operational Responsibilities:*_

* Ensure the team operates within policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the team's work through audits, feedback and performance metrics.
* Co-ordinate with the Head of Service and relevant others to ensure seamless integration and continuity of clinical service.

_*Clinical Responsibilities:*_

* Conduct assessments, reviews and triaging as needed, at a reduced allocation to that of a clinician.
* Exercise independent professional responsibility for diagnostic decision-making within competence.
* Support with risk and safeguarding decisions and actions.
* Maintain accurate and timely records on Chrysalis and associated clinical templates, adhering to professional requirements for accurate record keeping.
* Participate in regular line management supervision, supervised assessments and appraisals.
* Be accountable to ensure that mandatory training and clinical supervision is completed. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is expected, and the post holder should expect to have responsibility for their learning whilst also engaging in CPD events provided by the organisation.

_*Risk Management and Support:*_

* To be responsible for recognising and reporting clinical Incidents and near misses to support the culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsive to requests from the Clinical Assurance and Experience team to participate in investigations where required.
* Assess and mitigate risks associated with clients under the team's care, providing guidance and advice as required.
* Collaborate with the wider ADHD360 service to address complex cases and ensure clients receive appropriate care and support.

*Flexibility:*

You are expected to be flexible in the duties you carry out and ADHD360 reserves the right to vary your duties from time to time in line with service needs. You may therefore be required, during your employment, to work in a different team and/or to carry out alternative duties consistent with your role, knowledge and experience, taking account of any professional registration or qualification requirements.

*Qualifications and Experience:*

_*Essential:*_

* Qualified healthcare professional with current UK registration with the appropriate governing body (i.e. NMC, HCPC)
* Minimum two years of autism assessment experience, working with both adults and children.
* Proven experience in leading and managing a team within a healthcare setting.
* Ability to work unsupervised and independently within Professional Code of Conduct
* Excellent clinical decision-making skills
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage with clients, colleagues and carers.
* Experience with remote working and conducting virtual clinics.
* Detailed understanding of co-occurring conditions and differential diagnosis, including mental health conditions.
