Role Overview
Field Service Engineer, Medical Diagnostic Systems
Following expansion, we seek a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer responsible for the service and breakdown repair on a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostic systems utilised within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments. You will visit customer sites and provide valued solutions for troubleshooting, liaising with laboratory managers and technicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent scientific organisations and laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
* Service and breakdown repair of high-value capital medical and laboratory diagnostics equipment.
* Provide on-site troubleshooting and support to a diverse customer base including NHS and private laboratories.
* Collaborate with external contacts such as laboratory managers and technicians to deliver effective solutions.
Qualifications
* Competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience on high-value capital equipment.
* Qualification in electronics or a related technical field.
* Experience (or willingness to learn) with diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or other high value electronic/electro‑mechanical equipment is desirable.
* Full product training will be provided; applicants from a range of field service and customer support backgrounds will be considered.
