Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
As a supply teacher with Standby Education, your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students.
* Providing instruction across various subjects, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
* Creating a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and collaboration.
* Assessing student progress regularly and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
* Collaborating closely with special education staff to support students with disabilities.
* Mentoring and tutoring students, offering additional support as needed outside of regular class hours.
* Fostering relationships with parents and guardians to promote student success.
* Engaging in creative activities to enhance students' literacy skills.
* Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Experience
We are looking for candidates with:
* Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
* A background in special education or experience with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with teaching strategies for students on the autism spectrum is an asset.
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles will be beneficial.
