Sales Director
Location: UK Wide (WFH + National Travel)
Salary: £110,000 + uncapped commission + car allowance
My client is a leading national contract catering business operating within the independent education sector. They are now seeking a commercially driven Sales Director to lead new business growth across the UK.
This is a senior, revenue-focused role responsible for driving large-scale B2B contract wins through proactive business development, tender management and strategic relationship building. You will lead a small team while remaining hands-on in securing high-value contracts.
The successful candidate will be well connected within education or B&I markets, comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level and confident managing complex, multi-stage tender processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team, ensuring delivery against revenue targets
Develop and implement a national sales strategy aligned with growth objectives
Drive new business through proactive prospecting, lead follow-up and tender submissions
Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the education and institutional markets
Represent the business at conferences, networking events and industry forums
Oversee CRM utilisation to ensure strong pipeline management and reporting accuracy
Analyse sales data and performance trends to inform strategic decision-making
Collaborate closely with marketing and operational teams to ensure alignment and successful mobilisation
About You
Proven track record in senior B2B new business sales within contract catering, education or B&I
Strong experience managing large-scale tenders and complex sales cycles
Commercially astute with a strategic yet hands-on approach
Well-networked within the education or institutional sector
Experienced leading and mentoring high-performing sales teams
Confident presenter with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working remotely while travelling nationally
