Salary : From £89.38 About the role: We are seeking a reliable, proactive and compassionate caretaker to join a dedicated team. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school premises, ensuring it remains safe, clean and welcoming for all. You’ll work closely with the site manager and senior leadership team to respond to maintenance needs and support the smooth running of the school. About The School: We at Teaching Personnel are proud to be partnering with a specialist provision based in Bridgend, dedicated to supporting young people aged 7 to 19 with a range of additional learning needs (ALN) and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The setting provides tailored support for pupils with Autism and other specific learning challenges, creating a safe and nurturing environment where every individual can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the site Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and secure Monitor and report any health & safety concerns Support with setting up rooms for meetings or activities Liaise with external contractors when needed Be a visible and approachable presence around the school What we are looking for: Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities role (school experience desirable) Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general DIY Calm, patient, and professional manner—especially around young people with behavioural needs Strong awareness of safeguarding and health & safety DBS check required (we can help you obtain this!)
