Overview
A well-established business based in Birstall is looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Offering a salary of £24,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience), this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 12-18 months’ finance experience who’s eager to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
* Processing expenses and supporting with company card transactions
* Supporting month-end processes and reporting activities
* Posting and processing entries across ledgers
* Helping the finance team with admin tasks and ad hoc duties
* Learning and gaining exposure to payroll as part of your development
What we’re looking for
* Experience in a finance-related role (e.g. Accounts Assistant, Finance Admin, Purchase/Sales Ledger)
* Good IT and Excel skills
* An organised, accurate approach and the ability to work to deadlines
* A proactive attitude with strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Based in Birstall, the role is easily commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Morley and Batley. Free on-site parking is available, and the office is well-served by public transport.
