Senior Design Manager £24m Distribution Centre
Location: Norwich, NR1 1EF
Salary: £65,000 £85,000 + package
We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to lead all design activities on a £24m Distribution Centre project in Norwich. This senior role involves overseeing design teams, managing consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring all design deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor multi-disciplinary design teams.
Chair design meetings and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with planning, Building Control, and BREEAM standards.
Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering.
Provide strategic input into procurement and project management processes.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Extensive experience managing complex construction design projects.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent knowledge of design management, project planning, and budgets.
Commercially aware with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
