What you’ll be doing
as an Outfall Investigation Manager:
1. Delivery and management of projects in line with SWOP using national guidance, with local EA and other stakeholder input.
2. Understand misconnections and responsibilities to rectify.
3. Continuous improvement of key processes and implementation of future innovations.
4. Maintain and increase engagement with internal and other key stakeholders.
5. Recording Key Performance Indicators by collating all relevant reporting data.
6. Delivery of projects to budget and timelines, highlighting savings.
7. Career development of team personnel. Health and Safety leadership through an excellent H&S culture.
8. Regular H&S audits and inspections of technicians.
9. Ensure excellent customer service, investigating promptly any customer complaints.
10. Be a Duty Environmental Scientist.
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
11. Full driving licence.
12. Fully competent at using the appropriate IT systems, GIS and O365 software.
13. Project / Programme management.
14. Environmental acumen.
15. Excellent organisation skills.
16. Knowledge of drainage and sewerage systems with a focus on urban diffuse pollution.
17. Leadership and people management.
18. Stakeholder engagement.
