We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottingham to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker, on a 2 -months contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £18.66- £25.51 per hour Summary: The Social Worker is responsible for assessing individual needs, initiating and coordinating support plans that promote independence, wellbeing, and a strength-based approach. Band A is tailored to newly qualified social workers, while Band B encompasses experienced professionals handling complex cases and mentoring less experienced staff. The role requires effective collaboration with professionals, service users, and community resources to ensure high-quality, person-centred care. Responsibilities: Conduct needs assessments, support planning, and reviews. Manage a complex caseload independently. Maintain a caseload under supervision with continued skill development. Undertake safeguarding duties and apply the Mental Capacity Act. Provide advice and build positive relationships with carers and professionals. Act as a Safeguarding Officer and participate in statutory duties. Undertake roles such as AMHP, BIA, or AMCP when qualified. Experience: At least two years of experience in care (paid, voluntary, or personal). Experience working with the public, record-keeping, and teamwork. Minimum two years post-qualification experience in complex case management. Experience as a safeguarding enquiry officer. Qualifications: Recognised Social Work Qualification. For Band A: Willingness to undertake the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment). For Band B: Evidence of CPD and post-qualification awards. Additional beneficial qualifications (e.g., BSL, Deaf/Blind training). Essentials: Full UK driving licence and access to transport (reasonable adjustments available for disabilities). Willingness to participate in duty rotas and flexible team activities. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training. In-depth understanding of community care, legislation, and policies in adult services. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment.
