Role Description/Criteria
Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School invites applications from suitably qualified and highly motivated individuals for the position of Learning Support Officer (LSO). This is a part time position for 4 or 5 days per week, 9:00am to 3:00pm, commencing as soon as possible in 2026. The role is offered for the 2026 school year, with a strong likelihood of continuation. About the Role
The Learning Support Officer works under the direction of classroom teachers and the Learning Diversity Leader to support students with additional learning needs. The role includes:
* Supporting individual students and small groups both within and outside the classroom
* Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans
* Supporting students to access the curriculum on an equal basis with their peers
* Contributing to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating with teachers, LSOs and leaders to ensure consistent and effective support

* Is committed to ongoing professional learning
* Experience or qualifications in Education Support or a related field will be viewed favourably.
