Overview
Argo Aviation International is seeking an experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our client's team in Norwich. You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft airworthiness, ensuring compliance with EASA/CAA regulations, and delivering high-quality certified maintenance. This position demands strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a proven track record in base maintenance operations.
Key Areas / Tasks
* Lead and motivate the engineering team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations.
* Oversee tooling, equipment, and facility maintenance; report any discrepancies.
* Ensure strict adherence to company and regulatory documentation standards.
* Maintain licence validity and training certifications necessary for inspection authorization.
* Uphold airworthiness, safety, and quality standards, supporting on-time performance targets.
* Ensure compliance with station, EASA, and CAA regulations; conduct procedural reviews as needed.
* Maintain strong communication across shifts, including completing handovers and daily logs.
What you bring (Qualifications and Experience)
* Recognised apprenticeship in the aircraft industry or similar.
* Valid CAA/EASA Part-66 B1 Licence, including relevant C Licence for station aircraft types.
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience certifying aircraft under Part‑66, with appropriate company authorisation.
* Previous management or supervisory experience, ideally within the aviation sector.
* Proven base maintenance and aircraft painting experience.
Training & Knowledge
* Sound technical knowledge of airworthiness regulations, MOE, MEL application, SRM, and the limitations of technical data.
* Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
* High standard of verbal and written English.
* Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
