Job Description
Our client, a well-established international main contractor, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team for a significant £30m refurbishment scheme in Cardiff.
The project is part of a wider regeneration scheme, delivered on behalf of a respected housing association.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a company renowned for delivering complex and innovative projects across the UK and globally.
The Role
You will be responsible for the financial aspects of the project, including procurement, cost control, valuations, and final accounts. You will report to a Senior QS or Commercial Manager and collaborate closely with the project team and client to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project
* Prepare interim valuations and agree on final accounts
* Monitor cost control and forecasting
* Procure and manage subcontract packages
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Coordinate with the project team for timely and profitable delivery
Requirements
* Experience with a main contractor on residential or commercial projects, or with a reputable facades/cladding contractor
* Strong knowledge of post-contract commercial management
* Ability to produce accurate cost reports and forecasts
* Capability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail
