Who are we
Waythrough launched in October following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost services around England and nearly 3, amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around, people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and itll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. Thats why you will notice the jobs here are still branded Humankind. Next year well be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent post as Assessment and Engagement Worker to work as part of a team to provide collaborative assessment and interventions to substance misusers (drug and alcohol) across all stages of recovery, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery.
In this vital role with Waythrough, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals accessing support, conducting comprehensive assessments, and engaging them in tailored interventions that promote long-term recovery. We have an office base in Wallsend, however we provide outreach across the borough to ensure our services are accessible to everyone who needs them. There may be a requirement for you to provide outreach support occasionally and although a driving licence is not required for this role, it would be advantageous.
