We are seeking Mechanical Technicians with a background in Piping design for a contract role focused on innovative energy projects. The immediate priority involves providing design support for a prototype power station. This role will require managing high temperature and high-pressure levels, dealing with bespoke pipework, and engaging in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) activities. The design process involves iterative testing and amendments, requiring a dynamic and adaptable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing design support for energy projects with a focus on a new prototype power station
Managing high-temperature and high-pressure mechanical systems
Engaging in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) work
Conducting iterative testing and making design amendments as required
Working closely with CAD systems, with significant CAD work required
Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards
Collaborating with remote and on-site teams based near Teeside or Manchester
Job Requirements:
Experience in Mechanical Engineering and piping systems
Proficiency in mechanical design principles and relevant CAD software
Ability to manage high-temperature and high-pressure environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Understanding of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) processes
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Flexibility to work remote with occasional visits to Newcastle or Manchester as needed
