We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join our fantastic team at Grange School.
We are seeking a proactive, organised and friendly Admin Assistant to join the team at Grange Special Educational School. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy school environment and is committed to supporting pupil wellbeing and the smooth running of the school.
Grange School provides exceptional education for pupils aged EYFS to KS5 with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We are proud to offer a nurturing, inclusive environment with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, as part of the Prospere Learning Trust.
This is a fixed‑term contract for one year, full time working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £21,662 pro rata and the full time equivalent is £25,185 Grade 3.
Reporting to the School Operations Manager, key responsibilities include:
* Welcoming visitors and handling telephone, email and face‑to‑face enquiries
* Providing general administrative support (photocopying, filing, data entry, correspondence)
* Arranging meetings and taking high‑quality notes
* Maintaining school systems, records and display boards
* Supporting school with mail distribution and stock management
* Using ICT systems such as Word, Excel and databases
* Helping with pupil welfare and first aid (training provided)
We are looking for:
* Experience in an administrative role (school experience helpful but not essential)
* Good IT and organisational skills
* A friendly, professional communicator who enjoys working with others
* Someone reliable, flexible, and eager to learn new skills
