Job Description:
Seagate is seeking a legal Counsel II to join its Legal Department as a member of the Commercial Contracts Group. This full-time (hybrid) position will be based at our Springtown site in Derry/Londonderry. The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging legal issues across the EMEA region, providing creative and proactive legal advice. You will collaborate with global legal teams and support various functions within the company.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting business structuring, drafting, and negotiating general commercial contracts related to sales and procurement.
* Advising on compliance and regulatory matters, including antitrust, competition laws, anti-corruption, international trade, export restrictions, and data privacy, especially within EU regulations.
* Monitoring and analyzing EU statutes to identify legal risks and proposing solutions.
* Providing legal advice on business transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.
* Fostering relationships with internal stakeholders, advising on contracts, and handling disputes and inquiries.
* Managing contract processes and updating standard contract templates.
Qualifications and experience:
* At least 4 years of transactional legal experience in law firms or in-house legal teams.
* Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with EU law and regulations in the technology sales sector.
* Strong communication skills, ethics, judgment, and ability to work independently or in a team.
* Experience with online terms and conditions, and familiarity with online sales laws is a plus.
Location: Northern Ireland or remote within the EU. Specific locations include Springtown, Amsterdam, Remote Northern Ireland, Remote Ireland, Remote UK. Travel up to 10%.
