Division D is seeking an outstanding operational manager to join the Division as a Deputy Operations Manager (2 posts, one substantive and one fixed-term for 1 year) covering Cardiology and Clinical Genetics. This pivotal role delivers recovery plans for RTT targets, DMO1 diagnostic targets, improvements in length of stay and ED performance.
This demanding management role requires excellent prioritisation, problem-solving and a collaborative approach. You will have experience in management and leadership of clinical services, an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of working operationally in the NHS. You will need to be resilient, flexible and remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver key objectives and targets for the services and Division, working with partner organisations and the ICB.
* Contribute to strategic and annual business planning for service areas, including engagement of senior medical and other staff as required.
* Coordinate planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects for the areas you are responsible for.
* Administer clinical governance processes within your areas and assist in risk management.
* Provide cross cover within the Division if required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in management and leadership of clinical services.
* Proven operational experience within the NHS.
* Strong prioritisation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
