This is a part-time, term-time position, and the salary will be pro-rata based on the hours worked.
If you are enthusiastic about working with children and interested in working within an early learning and childcare centre, then the Early Year’s Assistant post may be suitable for you.
Working collaboratively as part of the early years team, you will be responsible for supervising children during lunch and undertaking laundry duties within the establishment. Experience working with children (0-5) in an early years or school environment is essential. You should have good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, a friendly but firm approach, and the ability to work independently and follow instructions from the head of the establishment.
You need to be flexible and available during 10.50am – 2.00pm Monday to Thursday and 10.50am to 2.10pm on Friday (or as defined by the head of establishment).
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details about this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to join the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer is made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
