Fresh People are recruiting for a practical and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety and operational efficiency of a number of sites across Kent.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with strong general maintenance experience who is confident completing routine repairs, carrying out site inspections and coordinating external contractors where specialist support is required.
The Role
As Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, well maintained and fully operational. You will work across multiple sites, responding to maintenance issues promptly and helping to minimise disruption to day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Completing routine maintenance and general repairs across buildings, facilities and equipment
2. Carrying out regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues
3. Investigating basic electrical faults and completing practical repairs where appropriate
4. Supporting plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and general building maintenance tasks
5. Managing and overseeing external contractors undertaking specialist works
6. Ensuring contractors are safely briefed and supported when working across unfamiliar sites
