The Role – Export Sales Manager
This is a senior Export Sales Manager position with full commercial ownership of international sales across a distributor-led export model within the construction products sector.
As Export Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving export sales growth, developing international distributor networks, and owning export revenue and margin performance across multiple overseas markets.
* Full commercial ownership of export sales as Export Sales Manager across international territories
* Responsibility for export turnover, margin, and year-on-year growth in overseas markets
* Identify, appoint, and develop international distributors and overseas sales partners
* Review, improve, and restructure routes to market in underperforming export regions
* Drive incremental export sales growth through existing distributors via new product introduction and increased range penetration
* Lead all commercial negotiations including pricing, margin structures, territory agreements, and long-term distribution contracts
* Regular overseas travel to manage distributor performance, develop international pipeline, and open new export markets
* Work closely with internal operations, logistics, technical, and finance teams to ensure profitable and compliant export delivery
* Support and develop robust export processes to enable scalable international sales growth
This Export Sales Manager role offers genuine autonomy, strategic input, and P&L responsibility, rather than a support-focused export position.

Candidate requirements – Export Sales Manager
* Proven experience as an Export Sales Manager, International Sales Manager, or Export Business Development Manager within construction products or building materials
* Demonstrable track record of opening, managing, and growing overseas distributor networks
* Experience carrying direct responsibility for export revenue, margin, and international sales growth
* Strong understanding of distributor-led routes to market within technical or specification-led construction sales
* Commercially confident, with experience negotiating export pricing, contracts, and long-term distributor agreements
* Comfortable operating autonomously across multiple international territories
* Willing and able to travel overseas regularly as part of a hands-on export sales role

* £65,000 – £70,000 basic salary
* £10,000 bonus / OTE
