Interim Procurement Manager H&S and Indirects £600pd Client: Major Energy organisation Rate: £600 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) Duration: 12 months Location: Slough, hybrid 60/40 Travel: Minimal amount of international travel required (including Middle East) Help shape Procurement for one of the most significant energy redevelopment projects in the Middle East. This leading Energy organisation is building a world-class procurement capability to support a major oil and gas redevelopment in the Middle East. This is a rare opportunity to play a hands-on role in setting up new ways of working, influencing strategy from day one, and delivering high-impact procurement across Security, Logistics, IT, Facilities, Business Support and Contingent Labour. You'll join a centralised support team, working closely with in-country partners and international stakeholders as a trusted Procurement Business Partner for Business Support and H&S functions. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end procurement delivery across Business Support and H&S categories in a complex, high-value operating environment Develop and execute category strategies that balance value, risk, compliance and security Partner closely with Category teams to deliver seamless outcomes Support sourcing, contracting, negotiations, governance approvals and post-award contract management Manage supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement Ensure full compliance with local laws, contracting procedures, and global ethical standards Act as a key interface with joint-venture partners and suppliers, building strong, trust-based relationships Embed a strong compliance and safety culture in everything you do Requirements: 5 years' Procurement experience ideally within Oil & Gas, or a similarly complex, regulated environment Strong experience in Indirect and H&S procurement categories Proven commercial acumen with confidence negotiating complex, high-value contracts Ability to operate across cultures, geographies and multiple stakeholders Comfortable working under pressure and navigating ambiguity Experience supporting international projects or joint ventures is a plus This is an urgent requirement - if interested, please apply asap and any questions, email claire.shipman@1st-executive.com
