The Company: Our client is a dynamic UK medical device distributor specialising in cutting-edge surgical solutions, including powered staplers, hernia meshes, and energy devices. With a strong reputation for clinical quality and innovation, they are growing rapidly across the UK theatre space. Recent product launches have set new industry standards, and the company continues to invest heavily in people, training, and portfolio expansion.
The Job: As a Business Development Manager, you'll be driving the adoption of the full surgical portfolio across NHS and private accounts. This is a consultative sales role with a strong clinical focus, requiring regular interaction with colorectal surgeons, gynaecologists, procurement teams, and theatre staff. You'll be responsible for growing existing accounts and securing new business, working closely with your clinical specialist colleagues to support in-theatre training, evaluations, and post-sale support. Success in this role will require persistence, relationship-building, and a strategic approach to stakeholder management.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Must be a medical device sales professional with a track record of selling into secondary care settings.
2. Experience working with surgical teams and navigating complex sales processes involving both clinical and commercial stakeholders is highly desirable.
3. You'll need to be self-driven, organised, and confident operating independently in a field-based role.
4. Strong communication skills are essential, and a full UK driving licence is required.

The Package:
* Basic Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
* Bonus: £20,000 OTE
* Car Allowance: £600/month
