Job Title: RE Teacher Location: Sheffield (S35) Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you a passionate RE Teacher looking to inspire students through Religious Education? As an RE Teacher, you will create an inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to explore and discuss a range of topics. Responsibilities of an Religious Education (RE) Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, promoting critical thinking and discussion Encourage respect, understanding, and awareness of different beliefs and cultures Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities Maintain strong classroom management and positive behaviour Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Support students’ academic and personal development Requirements of an RE Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject Experience teaching RE in a school setting is desirable Strong communication and classroom management skills A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
