The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) Portfolio oversees research policy development and general oversight of the University’s research activities, which encompass postgraduate education, research and quality and impact, research infrastructure, industry liaison and intellectual property and commercialisation.
The principal role of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Research Training is to lead and oversee the Graduate Research School and the career development activities from HDR to ECR and mid-career researchers
About the opportunity
* Provides administrative support for the delivery and management of Higher Degree by Research programs across the student lifecycle, including admissions, enrolment, candidature, scholarships, milestones, examinations, and compliance with institutional and government requirements.
* Operates within a defined regulatory and policy environment, requiring knowledge of university policies, research training frameworks, and reporting obligations.
* Works collaboratively with academic units, central services, and external stakeholders to ensure a high-quality experience for HDR candidates and supervisors.
About you
* Completion of a relevant degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or relevant administrative experience.
* Experience interpreting and applying complex policies and procedures accurately.
* Ability to learn new systems including using student management systems (e.g., Callista) and Microsoft Office applications.
* Financial administration skills, including budget monitoring and reporting.
* Understanding of WHS responsibilities and quality assurance principles.
Note: Occasional work, attendance at university events or training outside normal business hours may be required.
