Cammach are currently recruiting for a Workshop Mechanic for an oil & gas client in the Inverurie area. This is a permanent position for an established expanding client.
Applicants should have a background in Diesel engines, compressors, and generators. It would be highly advantageous to have experience with well service equipment and top side Diesel driven units.
ROLE
Mechanical Engineer: responsible for undertaking jobs and work instructions from the Workshop Supervisor and supporting the company's operational activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities and Authority:
* Perform general workshop duties.
* Work on diesel-driven equipment / packages.
* Fault finding and report creation.
* Work independently or as part of a team.
* Carry out repairs, refurbishments, upgrades, and maintenance on topside equipment.
* Follow company job cards and detailed work scopes.
* Keep workshop timesheets up to date on their own tablet device.
* Adhere to organisational integrated management system policies and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other legal requirements.
* Participate in HSEQ training or other personal development activities.
Main Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
* Assist with customer and third-party tasks as required.
* Represent the company professionally both on and off the job.
* Perform any other duties as directed by management.
* Assist with forklift operation when required.
REQUIREMENTS
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
* Time-served mechanic with valid training certificates.
* Semi-skilled mechanic (depending on business needs) with relevant training certificates.
