Job Description
I’m recruiting on behalf of a specialist aerospace logistics organisation seeking an Operations Manager to support and lead day-to-day operations at their busy Stoke site, soon to be in Reading.
This role is ideal for someone currently working in warehouse, logistics, inventory, supply chain, or a similar operational environment who wants to step up into a broader, more influential position with real development potential.
You’ll take ownership of site operations, support customer relationships, contribute to performance reporting, and work closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily warehouse, inventory, and logistics activities
* Support operational performance reporting, forecasting, and improvements
* Maintain strong relationships with key customers
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and export control processes
* Provide basic systems and IT support on-site
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects across operations
* Support coordination between sales activity and operational delivery
What You’ll Bring
Essential
* Experience in aerospace, logistics, warehouse, inventory or supply chain operations
* Knowledge of warehouse or inventory processes
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Confidence working with data, reporting, and IT systems
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a desire to step into leadership
Desirable
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems
* Experience in B2B or B2C environments
* Strong MS Office skills
* Experience using databases or reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports)
