You will be working with one of the UK's leading consultancies within the Technology area, supporting one of their end clients who are a small to medium sized organisation in the defence sector. This organisation is a key supporter of the UK's defence, working alongside the likes of the Ministry of Defence and other larger organisations.

The role will be working on site full time in Stevenage
Your new role
The group is key to designing, developing and supporting Engineering based Test Equipment software to testplex missile systems and subponents.
The work involves liaising with a wide range of teams and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver Test Engineering software capability of products from early concept to production.
The work in centred in a Software Engineering office / lab environment engaging with test equipment and electronic circuitry.
Required Capabilities
• Development of software test solutions.
• Writing software in C / C++ & C# and scripting languages.
• If they have some Electronics/Embedded skills that would be desirable.
• Working with tools such as Lab Windows CVI or Test stand.
• Automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices.
•munications and serial interfaces such as TFTP, Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, Modbus, CAN and 1553 buses.
• Electronics measurement and debugging techniques using equipment such as DVM’s, oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.
• Creating high quality software and support of quality practices.
• Articulation of the benefits of key software craftsmanship practices like unit testing, good design, TDD etc.
• Working in an agile development team.
