Employer: NHS Scotland.
Location: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Hospital.
Start date: February 2026.
Term: 6 months to August 2026. Full-time, on‑call at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as part of a compliant rota.
Salary: £47,438 – £74,591 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
Applicants should have completed a foundation scheme or have equivalent experience. Applicants must hold full membership (MRCP) from one of the Royal Colleges in the UK and have completed IMT stage 1 training. Experience in Neurology and Stroke is preferred but not essential. This post is suitable for trainees in Group 1 and possibly a small number of Group 2 Medical Specialties. It allows training in Neurology and Stroke, which are a considerable portion of acute medical care.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required (licence must be in place prior to starting).
