Job Summary
We're looking to recruit a friendly, well-organised and adaptable person to work alongside other civilians and military personnel, providing an invaluable contribution to the welfare of RAF Leeming personnel. The Storekeeper role is diverse but will initially focus on accommodation with key responsibilities for the health and safety of accommodation and overall cleanliness. The accommodation Clerk part of a small team within the Accommodation Cell. As a team you will be responsible for all Junior Rank Single Living Accommodation and transit accommodation across RAF Leeming.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job Description
The primary role of the JR Accommodation Bedding Storekeeper is to work cohesively within the JR Accommodation Cell alongside the Accommodation Cell Clerks to ensure complete delivery of accommodation and bedding services at RAF Leeming.
Ensure all transit rooms at RAF Leeming are serviced with bedding for the duration of bookings. This involves providing bedding for groups and planned training operations (as required).
Liaise with the cleaning support team daily to facilitate the room cleans upon occupant vacation, ensuring rooms are unlocked and the room keys accounted for correctly following each occupant departure.
Ensure the correct paperwork is completed in unison with laundry returns to facilitate weekly bedding exchanges with barrack stores, highlighting any damaged or unserviceable bedding stock.
Maintain, manage & ensure stock control systems are updated to enable the daily changing of bedding used by transit personnel. Located in the bedding store and satellite bedding storerooms.
Co-ordinate and carry out inventory exchanges when required with Barrack Stores. An inventory manifest is to be maintained.
Check rooms for general & electrical serviceability and work alongside JR Accommodation SNCO on the recording, implementing & monitoring of work services for all accommodation.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the transit accommodation and storerooms. If not at an adequate standard, communicate effectively with the Accommodation Cell Manager to ensure the previous occupants are contacted.
