About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with complex learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils in their daily routines, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Have the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents and other staff
* Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning programmes
* Supporting students with personal care needs (including toileting and feeding)
* Encouraging independence and promoting positive behaviour management strategies
* Working collaboratively with the wider staff team and families
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, care, or support setting) NOT ESSENTIAL
* Comfortable and confident in supporting personal care
* A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to working with vulnerable students
* Enhanced Child only DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday, term-time only
* An understanding of safeguarding procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
