We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health Team at HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state-of-the-art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.
This position is full-time, with an annual salary of up to £47,466 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
* Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload, assessing physical, social, and psychological needs to develop holistic care plans.
* Contributing to our nursing strategy and vision by providing outstanding evidence-based care, listening to and acting on patient feedback for personalized care.
* Delivering non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships, and maintaining professional boundaries.
* Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, always considering safeguarding policies.
Additional information
Hours: This role operates on a rolling rota between 7am and 6pm, 7 days a week, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Support provided includes bespoke induction, competency framework, regional and national development opportunities, a Learning Management System, and team support.
Requirements: Must have UK legal right to work, and employment is subject to vetting and security checks.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* UK NMC Registered Nurse - Mental Health
* Experience working within mental health settings
* Evidence of CPD
* Experience collaborating with other agencies in a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable:
* Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments
