Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, telehandlers, and more. Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service while working on-site and maintaining strong client relationships.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a fitter or technician, preferably with plant machinery.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Full UK driving license.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day
Travel to various sites in Swindon and surrounding areas to carry out maintenance and repairs.
Inspect and assess machinery to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Respond to breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
