Payroll Manager - Nottingham
Alexander Daniels is working with an established business based in Nottingham, seeking a highly skilled and organized Payroll Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on payroll matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process monthly payroll for all employees.
2. Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, deductions, and bonuses.
3. Manage payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
4. Calculate and submit tax, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions (e.g., National Insurance, PAYE).
Compliance & Reporting:
1. Ensure compliance with legislation including PAYE, NI, pensions, and HMRC reporting.
2. Handle LGPS admitted body status for new contracts.
3. Prepare and submit payroll reports to Finance and HR departments.
4. Oversee the submission of annual P60 and P11D forms.
5. Maintain GDPR and data protection compliance when handling payroll data.
6. Update payroll procedures for continuous improvement.
7. Collaborate with HR to update employee records accurately and timely.
8. Work with Finance to reconcile payroll data with financial reports.
9. Assist in payroll audits and reviews.
System Management:
1. Maintain and update payroll software; liaise with vendors for support.
2. Participate in implementing new payroll systems or processes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, NI, pensions, and deductions.
* Experience with payroll software such as SAGE or IRIS.
