Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley to deliver award winning projects. We work on major water and wastewater schemes throughout all phases of the project from feasibility through to construction. We joined Northumbrian Water's Living Water Enterprise to deliver large scale construction programmes in AMP8 and beyond, supporting a multi‑billion workload.

Responsibilities
* As a Senior Civil Engineer you will work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.
* You will play a pivotal role in shaping the civil functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects, from concept design to commissioning, ensuring civil aspects are considered and integrated.
* Provide design support and guidance for schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
* Work closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions across design stages, construction and beyond.
* Engage with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one‑team approach to achieving client aims.
* Manage interfaces and integration of the civil design with other disciplines and produce documentation.
* Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across projects and teams.
* Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including development and implementation of standard designs, sustainable solutions and digital tools.
* Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
* Support the development of the civil engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill set and identify appropriate resources for projects.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
* Experience delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Methodical approach to problem solving.
* A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
