IT Contracts Manager

Who we are.
1. We are Merton Council, a London borough that is committed to delivering high-quality services and improving the lives of our diverse communities.
2. We are part of the Finance and Digital Department, which provides strategic leadership and support for the council's digital transformation, information management, cyber security, finance, and procurement functions.
3. We are looking for an IT contracts and Procurement Officer to join our IT Service Delivery team, which is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security and resilience of our IT infrastructure, systems, and services
What you will do
4. You will need to undertake a number of key procurement exercises to replace existing infrastructure and services.
5. You will need to able to take requirements from subject matter experts and convert them into tender requirements.
6. You will draft relevant reports from internal approval to procure and award, present them at the relevant procurement boards.
7. Manage the procurements to contract signature liaising with key stakeholders for agreement and signature.
8. You will review the current IT contracts and create a pipeline for the next four years.
9. Review the current contracts and understand any contractual issues.
10. Work with the Commercial Services team to manage the procurement process.
What you will need
11. You will be already working in Enterprise IT public procurement.
12. You will have deep knowledge of all the public sector procurement rules.
13. You will be comfortable running IT contract reviews.
14. You will have the ability to communicate in plain English with people of all types and levels in the organisation.
15. You will have the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
16. You will have the ability to review technical solutions and provide advice to decision makers.
17. You will have experience to manage multiple procurement projects and deliver them all on time.
18. You will have experience working with senior stakeholders.
19. You will have experience working between multiple teams.
