With an increase in pupils presenting social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, schools urgently need specialist-trained professionals who can offer targeted support, build meaningful relationships, and help create a calm and inclusive learning environment. If you have the resilience, empathy, and confidence to make a real difference in a child's life, we want to hear from you.
Your role as a Behaviour Mentor will involve:
1. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis who may display behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties (SEMH).
2. De-escalating challenging situations in a calm and confident manner while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
3. Building strong, trusting relationships with students, becoming a positive and reliable presence in their school life.
4. Working closely with the class teacher and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans.
5. Contributing to a whole-school approach to positive behaviour management.
6. Using restorative approaches to help students understand and reflect on their actions.
