Job Description
As an Engineering Geologist, you will be pivotal in analyzing and interpreting geological data to support the successful delivery of our projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Geological Mapping and Sampling: Execute field investigations to collect rock and soil samples, creating detailed geological maps that inform project decisions.
2. Site Investigation: Lead comprehensive site assessments to determine geotechnical properties, overseeing drilling and sampling activities.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Use specialized software to analyze geological data, preparing reports that guide engineering designs and construction plans.
4. Risk Assessment: Identify geological risks associated with project sites and develop effective mitigation strategies.
5. Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to ensure geological factors are integrated throughout project planning and execution.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all geological activities comply with relevant environmental laws and standards.
Qualifications
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
8. Demonstrable experience as an Engineering Geologist, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
9. Proficiency in geological software and GIS technologies.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication skills, capable of delivering clear and concise reports.
12. Legal right to work in the UK.
