About The Role
Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an I.T. Site Setup Coordinator on the Hinkley Point C Project. The role will be 50% site based, 10% based at our SDC offices in Bridgwater, and 40% remote.
About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UK’s move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate all site mobilisations from requests to installation and live operations.
* Act as a front of house for all site mobilisations.
* Liaise with the IT Field Engineering team on demand and priorities.
* Liaise and report demand and progress to senior stakeholders.
* Ensure robust network, effective hardware and software deployment, and high‑level technical support across various locations.
* Effectively and efficiently deliver IT mobilisations, working in conjunction with PM and Field Engineers.
* Ensure customer experience and satisfaction of all Information Technology & Communication services provided within the MEH Alliance.
* Manage tasks and backlog with regard to site mobilisation of IT and improvement.
* Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver IT solutions that enhance business operations.
* Ensure compliance with current IT documentation standards utilised within IT Services and specific MEHJV IT service.
* Maintain high levels of service reliability and performance through proactive equipment maintenance and upgrades.
* Ensure services delivered comply with defined service SLAs.
* Video conferencing training & daily checks on regional meeting rooms.
* Liaise with 3rd party connections in the project offices.
* Route and manage incidents to the appropriate partner support team.
* Liaise with JV partner support teams where necessary.
* Provide technical leadership and expertise in IT service operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Required Experience & Skills
* Experience with network configuration, technical troubleshooting, and security management.
* Advanced in‑depth Windows 10 & Office 365 BAU usage.
* Strong customer & delivery focus, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
* Ability to learn new skills and knowledge, and pick up on technical and business challenges quickly.
* Professional membership in relevant IT or engineering institutions – desired.
* Able to obtain a security clearance.
* Interested in teamwork at the highest level and a highly collaborative approach, among the first to volunteer to help others succeed.
