Acquisition Delivery Manager
6 month contract
Reading - Hybrid 2 days/week
Protect service. Deliver solutions. Enable continued network coverage.
The Acquisition Delivery Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding network service by managing sites at risk and delivering acquisition and relocation solutions across MBNL’s infrastructure estate. Working closely with internal design and build teams, surveyors, legal partners, and third‑party suppliers, you’ll ensure that acquisition activity is delivered to time, cost, and quality—maintaining network availability for MBNL’s shareholders.
This role sits at the centre of a complex delivery ecosystem and requires strong stakeholder management, delivery focus, and operational grip.
Why this role matters
The acquisition and retention of suitable sites is fundamental to maintaining and enhancing the UK’s mobile network. This role ensures that sites at risk are identified early, managed effectively, and resolved through timely acquisition and relocation activity—minimising service loss and protecting customer experience.
By driving disciplined delivery, strong governance, and proactive issue resolution, you’ll help MBNL continue to deliver high‑quality network performance at the lowest cost. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.
What you’ll be here to do
You’ll manage end‑to‑end acquisition delivery across a portfolio of sites, ensuring suppliers and internal teams perform to expectation. You’ll:
• Deliver acquisition activity across a defined group of infrastructure sites to agreed time, cost, and quality targets
• Hold internal stakeholders and third‑party suppliers to account for compliance with acquisition, legal, and governance processes
• Proactively investigate underperformance and drive recovery actions where delivery is at risk
• Coordinate surveyors, legal partners, designers, and suppliers to deliver site‑specific solutions
• Manage site‑level risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring deadlines and coverage objectives are met
• Control and minimise OPEX and technical support costs
• Ensure high standards of data accuracy and site information integrity
• Identify high‑risk sites and support mitigation and replacement coverage planning
• Drive continuous improvement in acquisition processes, reporting, and delivery practices
Who we’re looking for
You’re a delivery‑focused manager with strong acquisition and stakeholder management experience. You’re comfortable operating in fast‑paced, complex environments and driving performance across internal teams and suppliers. You’ll have:
• Proven experience delivering telecommunications acquisition activity
• Strong understanding of acquisition, planning, and legal processes
• Experience managing outsourced suppliers and cross‑functional delivery teams
• The ability to deliver projects within clear governance and control frameworks
• Strong risk management, communication, and escalation skills
You’ll be central to protecting network continuity—driving acquisition delivery that keeps MBNL’s sites live, compliant, and fit for future demand.
