As an Electrician, youll be responsible for the repair, testing, and preparation of hire fleet equipment, including rental cables, distribution panels, and accessories. Electrician Responsibilities: Prepare, test, and repair single- and three-phase rental equipment, including AMF panels, isolators, transformers, and distribution boards Assemble and test rental cables (Powerlock, lugged, Ceeform), including single and multicore types Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure safety and performance Maintain stock of spare parts, sourcing components efficiently and cost-effectively Support general depot operations, including off-hires, loading/unloading, and damage reporting Collaborate with the Operations Team to maintain workflow and communicate equipment availability Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and maintain a clean, organised working environment Contribute to continuous improvement in workshop efficiency, testing, and safety standards Electrician Specification: Essential: Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent) OR Completed apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR Proven hands-on experience in generator and control system servicing (e.g. FG Wilson) Strong practical knowledge of cable assembly and fault-finding Desirable: Experience with load bank testing and control panels Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of ISO, H&S procedures in depot or warehouse environments For more information on the Electrician position or any other technical roles, contact Ewan Smyth at Stirling Warrington.
