Technical Support Engineer – Plumbing & Construction Systems
📍 Location: Site‑based / Hybrid depending on project 🛠️ Sector: Plumbing, Building Services, Construction Technology 🕒 Type: Full‑time
About the Role
We’re recruiting a Technical Support Engineer with strong plumbing and construction experience to support customers, installers, and contractors working with our building‑services products. This role suits someone who understands how things work on‑site — from pipe runs and fittings to commissioning, regulations, and real‑world installation challenges — and who can translate that knowledge into clear technical guidance.
You’ll be the first point of contact for resolving installation issues, advising on best practice, and supporting both digital and mechanical aspects of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to installers and contractors for plumbing‑integrated and construction‑related products
* Troubleshoot installation, commissioning, and performance issues across plumbing, mechanical, and basic electrical systems
* Interpret and explain technical drawings including plumbing schematics, site plans, and construction layouts
* Advise on compliance with relevant building regulations, water bylaws, and installation standards
* Support field teams with product setup, system configuration, and on‑site problem resolution
* Create installation guides and technical documentation tailored for tradespeople and construction professionals
* Feed real‑world insights back to engineering to improve product design and reliability
What You’ll Bring
* Hands‑on plumbing experience — installation, maintenance, or service background preferred
* Understanding of construction environments including site workflows, safety practices, and coordination with other trades
* Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and plumbing systems
* Ability to communicate clearly with installers, contractors, and non‑technical customers
* Familiarity with technical support tools such as ticketing systems and remote‑assist platforms
* Confidence reading drawings: plumbing schematics, isometrics, and installation diagrams
Nice to Have
* Plumbing or mechanical trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds)
* Experience with construction‑tech or smart‑building systems
* Knowledge of UK building regulations related to water, heating, or mechanical services
Why This Role Stands Out
* Work closely with real installers and real projects — not just desk‑based support
* Blend practical trade knowledge with technical problem‑solving
* Join a team shaping the future of building‑services technology
* Competitive pay, training, and progression opportunities
