Job Description
We’re hiring for a Product Design Engineer to join the in-house design team at a Macclesfield based business specialising in the creation of innovative retail products. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and hands-on designer to work across the full lifecycle of retail design projects - from concept development to production-ready drawings.

What’s on offer?
* £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

What will you be doing as a Product Design Engineer?
* Designing products and components for retail environments using SolidWorks
* Creating concept sketches, 3D models, realistic renders, and production drawings
* Supporting prototype builds and product testing
* Preparing engineering documentation and artwork for manufacture
* Taking ownership of design projects, ensuring smooth handovers to production
* Building client-facing presentations and supporting sales activity
* Staying up to date with trends in retail and POS design
What do you need?
* SolidWorks proficiency - assemblies, engineering drawings, rendering
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and production constraints
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Experience in a similar design, engineering, or manufacturing role (1+ year ideal, but strong graduates considered)
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time across multiple projects
