Job Description IT Systems Architect Full Time Derby – Hybrid What you will be doing Rolls-Royce Measurement & Test Engineering organisation have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an IT Systems Architect to support in expanding, improving, and maintaining their global portfolio of Aerospace Engine Test Facilities The Rolls-Royce Measurement & Test Engineering organisation are responsible for designing and delivering the infrastructure required to test the next generation of gas turbine engines for both Civil and Defence applications. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for defining and delivering IT & OT systems architecture for Rolls-Royce test facilities, working with the Measurement & Test Organisation and Group IT to support next-generation Civil and Defence gas turbine engines. You will be responsible for designing and implementing both the short- and long-term strategic solutions for managing and maintaining the systems and software used in Rolls-Royce test facilities. Work closely with our key suppliers to ensure that the IT & OT systems installed and used on our test facilities are fit for purpose and align with RR Group IT policies. Ensure Rolls-Royce test networks are resilient to cyber security risks and adhere to the latest national and international standards. Interface with Rolls-Royce group IT to ensure alignment on policies and toolsets where possible. Why Rolls-Royce? Position qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or HND industrial experience Project environment experience Skilled in writing technical reports/documents Able to define test requirements & perform acceptance testing Experience with cost-benefit analysis & business case development Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of cyber security tools & standards Familiarity with programming (Java, C++, Python, SQL) Awareness of modern systems tools & processes Experience with DevOps & Agile practices Understanding of Systems Engineering approaches Join us & help Rolls-Royce to become a high-performing, competitive, resilient business.
