Overview of the position:
Provide expert knowledge to the Operations team in relation to Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Integrity. Completion of audits and tasks to ensure Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Integrity is maintained at all times. Play active part in promoting and maintaining the Quality Contract culture.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
* Acceptance and status maintenance of incoming raw materials
* Raising raw material non-compliance to the QA Team Leader
* Auditing of all CCP's including CCP operatives' audits
* Completion of GMP audits
* Completion of Fabrication audits as per schedule
* Completion of Hygiene audits as per schedule
* Auditing of in process paperwork
* Management of non-conforming products in line with relevant procedures
* Product status maintenance throughout the process (physical and in Unity)
* Completion of Quality Contract checks
* Liaise closely with Line Leaders, Area Managers and Shift Manager to ensure products are within factory specifications
* Monitor product quality and ensure all products are correctly assembled
* Monitoring of temperature-controlled freezers and chillers
* Microbiological swabbing and sampling as per set schedule
* Allergen / Protein / DNA swabbing and sampling as per schedule
* Submission of collected samples to the laboratory using online system
* Preparation and despatch of samples to lab
* Cleaning validation and verification including hygiene audits
* Re-submission of samples reported as OOS for re-testing in line with relevant procedure
* Raising and communicating process / product non-conformances including management of ON HOLD list
* Follow up on any actions or non-conformances
* Assessment of ingredients and finish products at any time when concession is required
* Management of concessions (approval and rejection of concessions)
* Completion of QA Database logs with accurate data
* Completion of ongoing probes and scales calibration
* Completion of CCP validation in collaboration with QA Team Leader
* Support customer complaints investigations by identifying root cause and completing audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented
* Feedback to Area Managers and Shift Managers on staff training deficiencies
* Produce reports for audited areas as required
* Completion of product and process traceability as per schedule
* Completion of factory reversals and issues in Unity based on satisfactory investigation of the issue by Operations team
* Completion of stock adjustments in Unity based on satisfactory investigation of the issue by Operations team
* Product / ingredients UBD/BBD maintenance in Unity
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Good understanding of food manufacturing processes
* Passion for food is essential
* Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work as part of a team
Working Hours: 2 week rolling shift pattern
2 weeks Monday - Friday 05:00 - 14:00
2 weeks Monday - Friday 15:00 - 00:00
