As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide targeted support to pupils who need additional help with their learning. You will assist with day-to-day classroom activities, behaviour management, and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant (TA): Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery Encourage and model positive behaviour and attitudes Support pupils with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks Prepare classroom resources and help maintain a tidy learning space Supervise pupils during non-teaching times such as lunch and breaks Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers Adapt support to meet the needs of individual learners Work closely with staff, parents, and carers to support student development Uphold the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies TA Requirements: Previous experience working with children in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant or similar is desirable A warm, approachable, and professional manner Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff Good organisational and communication skills A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join GSL Education?
