Join to apply for the Mental Health Nurse - Prison Healthcare role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 mental health nurses in our NHS Forth Valley Prisons. The post will initially be based at HMP & YOI Polmont but postholder may be required to work across any of the 3 prison sites. Our vision is to deliver trauma informed, person centred and safe & effective care to our patients. The post holder will be a first level registered mental health nurse, looking to develop and enhance their clinical skills and knowledge. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will have the ability to work autonomously, with a high level of clinical decision making skills. They will be ambitious and a committed individual, supporting the development of a modern and innovative healthcare service.
Forth Valley Prison Healthcare promotes staff personal and professional ongoing development. All posts are subject to rotation. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
