Overview
We are expanding our Children 0Fostering Social Work Team in North East Lincolnshire Council. The service aims to support foster carers and children to grow up happy, healthy, and safe in their homes and communities. As a Social Worker in the Fostering Social Work Team, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality Social Work practice to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families. The service emphasizes compassionate leadership and aims to empower children and families to thrive.

Responsibilities
* Support and supervise Foster Carers in addition to undertaking assessments that relate to Fostering and Kinship arrangements.
* Engage with prospective new and existing foster carers, including supporting marketing and recruitment events, support groups, fostering celebration events, and delivering/training for foster carers.
* Match homes for children with the right fostering families to support stability and positive outcomes.
* Contribute to building the skills, knowledge and expertise of the Fostering Social Work service to support carers in delivering the service vision.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Social Worker with experience in fostering preferred; transferable skills with a continued passion to develop in this area will be considered.
* Good understanding of the impact of trauma on children and ability to support foster carers in caring for children within a supportive service.
* ASYE year welcome; able to work as part of a supportive leadership structure.
What We Offer
* Salary from ASYE level £35,235 up to £47,754 (depends on experience) plus Essential Car User Allowance.
