Production Manager – Forge Unit

About The Role
Support the General Manager in achieving business objectives related to output, quality and cost while managing the forge unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage forge unit production schedules, ensuring customer delivery times and high service standards.
- Allocate resources, prioritise tasks and maintain organisation of production plans.
- Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement activities across the forge unit.
- Monitor performance measurement systems and take corrective actions to minimise failure.
- Maintain and improve quality standards and manage scrap control, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Develop, lead and manage the team, championing a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Ensure regular management reporting, providing complete and timely data.
- Support the production, development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve company objectives.
Knowledge and Experience
- Manufacturing management experience, including people management.
- Experience in a world‑class manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing, logistics techniques, quality systems and improvement.
- Strong financial awareness with budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Proficient PC skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal communication and high flexibility to meet business targets.
- Degree qualification preferred but not mandatory.

Shift Pattern
- Sunday: 06:00‑14:15
- Monday‑Thursday: 06:00‑13:00 (early shift)
12:45‑18:45 (late shift) - Friday: 14:00‑22:30 (late shift)
Additional Information
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires the jobholder to obtain certain authorisation or security clearances that will require interface with local and U.S. government authorities.
