We are recruiting Support Workers to join our Community/Supported Living Services within the Oakleaf Group in Northampton, supporting adults who have suffered a brain injury or suffer from other neurological conditions. About the Service – The Oakleaf Group The Oakleaf Group, part of The CareTech Group, is firmly established as one of the leading providers of rehabilitation services for men who have a brain injury or who suffer from other neurological conditions. Our main site is based in Hartwell, Northampton but we also have services based in Duston, Weston Favell, Hunsbury and Strawberry Hill. We are now recruiting Community/Supported Living Support Workers to support our clients in our Community/Supported Living services across Northampton. Posts are full - time and will include a variety of days, nights and twilights. As part of your contract, you will be expected to work across any of the Oakleaf sites if required. Working in the Community/Supported Living dictates a level of flexibility and all our Community/Supported Living staff must be available to work where required. No staff are employed to any one area or unit. Some Community/Supported Living staff will work on a rotation of working on the main site and in the Community/Supported Living houses again, as and when required. Service User Interests The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including: Arts and crafts Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc. Holidays and short breaks Walks in the local park and community Cooking and baking to develop life skills The Role You will: Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing Support activities, appointments, and community access Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
